Status Quo of Electromobility in Europe – Regional differences and required efforts to reach more convergence across Europe.

CharIN, the Charging Interface Initiative, and AVERE, the European Association for Electromobility, are inviting you to a 90 minutes expert meeting, which will evaluate the progress made in setting up EV charging infrastructure in Europe, and raise the question how charging can be made convenient for EV users across Europe. The session will be split up in two sub-sessions:

The first part will shed a light on the standardization efforts that have been put in place in Europe. Speakers from Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Europe will elaborate on the implementation level and the impact that various resolutions have had in their region, identify where the differences come from, and outline the demands for improvement.

The second part will take a closer look at EV Charging Policy on European, national, and local level. What still hinders national governments in implementing European policy in a harmonized manner? How to end charging anxiety for customers across Europe? Why does the map of charging infrastructure in Europe looks so unbalanced? What are the main drivers for improvement, and how much will the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) help?

Learn about the challenges of energy providers as well as of charging and helpdesk operators, and discuss with our expert round on how EV charging can be made more convenient for users all across Europe. We look forward to meeting you there!
