For the last 3 years John has led the JLR partnership with Waymo, deploying the all-electric Jaguar I-Pace into Transport as a Service taxi operations. John led the Oslo Wireless Charging programme from within JLR, with the objective of creating all-day mobility within dense urban environments with regular opportunistic charging. John has also overseen the deployment of the World’s first all-electric Google Street View / Air View car.
John is a professional Chartered Engineer with 24 years’ experience in the automotive industry, spanning Ford Motor Company, Visteon, and Jaguar Land Rover. He has worked across Product Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Vehicle Launch and Quality. He was awarded the European Henry Ford Award for Innovation. He is a 6-Sigma Master Black Belt Lean-Kaizen Sensei, which in short means he loves solving problems. He was awarded the Leadership Award by the Chartered Quality Institute in 2019 for his work on The Jaguar Land Rover Way – an Integrated Management System.
