Auke Hoekstra is an academic researcher at the Eindhoven University of Technology. He is also the founder and director of NEONresearch.nl and Zenmo.com. Both model how we can quickly transition away from fossil fuels using a bottom-up agent-based methodology that respects individual freedom, heterogeneity, and technological learning.
So he sees electric vehicles as an especially important part of the energy transition and wrote his first book about them in 2009. He has been called “debunker in chief” on twitter where he corrects misinformation about electric vehicles.
