Geir Bjørkeli is CEO of Corvus Energy, the leading provider of zero emission solutions for the maritime industry.
Geir has 25 years of experience from leading positions in large maritime corporations worldwide. His extensive knowledge on decarbonization and genuine interest in how to drive technology further makes him a frequent guest speaker at major industry events.
Geir is a mechanical engineer by training from Western Norway University of Applied Science, and holds an MBA in Shipping, Offshore and Finance at BI Norwegian School of Management and Nanyang Technical University, Singapore.
Corvus Energy was the first company to provide a true maritime battery with the needed capacity, lowered cost and safety level and became pioneers in maritime energy storage systems (ESSs) for almost every vessel type. The company has by far the largest installed base of ESSs with the largest number of projects completed. By using data and the experience gained from millions of operating hours they push technology further for zero emission shipping. In addition to a having a complete product range of maritime batteries they are developing customized and scalable marine hydrogen fuel cell systems based on world leader Toyota’s fuel cell technology.
