Lars holds a Ph.D. in structural engineering from NTNU and an MBA from ESMT Berlin. Lars has vast experience in aluminium business development, automotive design and renewable energy, having worked for Hydro for many years, as well as for REC Solar, DNV GL and Statnett.
Lars is currently heading Hydro’s business development efforts in the Recycling business unit in Aluminium Metal. Recycling is one of the core element’s in Hydro’s strategy. Hydro has the ambition of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050 or earlier and is pursuing three decarbonization paths to reduce the carbon footprint of aluminium to net zero.
