1982 Build first electric bicycle for own use until 1992 participating in almost all solar vehicle races around the world, building solar race cars, solar powered airship and other kinds of vehicles
1992 start of the ExtraEnergy NGO, electric bike testing until today, organizing test tracks, special exhibitions and conferences around electric bicycles
2002 Work for Deutsche Post DHL to optimize the electric cargo bike fleet, developing battery safety standard which now is EU mandatory EN 50604-1 former BATSO, developing standard charge protocol for LEVs later called EnergyBus and now IEC TS 61851-3-Series Standard.
2012 Leading technology at EU Project GoPedelec, managing Pilot Project on pedelec infrastructure at Tegernsee with the utilization of the charge lock cable, become Operating agent of IEC HEV TCP Task 23 on LEV Parking and charging infrastructure.
2022 Working on LEV Parking and charging infrastructure within EU Project CME iEMS
Beside worked as consultant for many companies, brought Panasonic electric cycles to Europe, consulted Bosch, Alber, Brose and others to join the LEV Market. Published the first book on electric bicycle 1995 and wrote endless articles on that subject. Owning the largest collection of electric bicycles starting with early 1970s units.
