In 2013, Huitian Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd., the predecessor of XPENG AEROHT, was founded by Deli Zhao in Dongguan, Guangdong. In 2020, Deli Zhao, Xiaopeng He and XPENG jointly invested and held Huitian, and this year XPENG AEROHT was officially established.
Deli Zhao has 9 years of experience in the research and development of electric manned aircraft. He led the team to complete the research and development of flying cars of 5 generations in XPENG AEROHT. In 2021, XPENG AEROHT raised over US$500 million in Series A financing. And the same year, XPENG AEROHT was selected in the “2021 Global Unicorn List” of the Hurun Report.
